Nelly is ready to introduce the world to his 7-month-old son, Kareem “KK” Haynes, but Ashanti is putting her foot down—for now.
In a recent Entertainment Tonight interview, the 44-year-old singer opened up about why she’s keeping their little one off social media. “He’s so important to me, and I don’t know if I want to share that,” Ashanti explained.
While she admits she’s tempted to post adorable moments, she’s holding firm—despite Nelly’s eagerness to show off his mini-me. “Daddy definitely wants to post,” she laughed. “But not yet, Daddy! Not yet!”
When asked if KK is her twin, Ashanti didn’t hesitate: “He’s definitely my twin. I’m going to show you a picture after — he’s definitely my twin.”
She also had a stern warning for paparazzi trying to sneak a first glimpse. “Please, if you don’t want to see the other side of me—don’t do it.”
Behind the scenes, baby KK is already hitting milestones, clapping on cue and even copying voices over FaceTime. “It is the most beautiful thing,” Ashanti gushed.
Ashanti and Nelly, who rekindled their relationship in 2023 after a decade apart, welcomed their son later that year. While fans are dying for a peek at KK, Ashanti’s mama bear instincts are winning—for now.
