According to TurnTable’s prestigious annual chart, Asake outshone every other artist across streaming platforms, TV, and radio, cementing his spot as the ultimate music mogul of the year.
This marks Asake’s third consecutive year holding the coveted No. 1 position, making him the first artist to achieve this incredible milestone. His dominance is evident as his albums—‘Mr Money With The Vibe (MMWTV)’ and ‘Work Of Art’—remained at the top of the charts, while his third album, Lungu Boy, soared to even greater heights. Released in August, Lungu Boy finished as the best-selling album of the year, spending an impressive 15 weeks at No. 1 on the Official Top 100 Albums chart.
Asake’s year was also marked by a series of achievements on the radio, where he was named the No. 1 radio artist for the second year in a row. With the highest total chart points on the Official Nigeria Top 100 chart, Asake has proven he’s the reigning champ. His collaboration with Wizkid, ‘MMS’ off Lungu Boy, also claimed the No. 1 spot for Afro-R&B songs, adding another feather to his already loaded cap.
Finishing the year strong, Asake was also named the top artist on Apple Music and topped Audiomack and YouTube as the most-streamed artist. Lungu Boy dominated the charts across the board, cementing Asake’s place as the undisputed king of Nigeria’s music scene in 2024.
