Ariana Grande’s newly launched Brighter Days Ahead Foundation has made its first major humanitarian move, providing emergency aid to children and families in Gaza. The singer’s foundation awarded a grant to Save the Children UK, which has already reached over 150,000 children with life-saving assistance.
The support comes through the foundation’s Emergency Support Fund, one of four dedicated funds established to respond to urgent humanitarian crises. Save the Children UK publicly thanked Grande for the contribution, with the grant amount remaining undisclosed.
Save the Children confirmed that the funds are being directed straight to children and families in Gaza to help them navigate “the unimaginably difficult situation they’ve been put in”. With support from donations like Grande’s, the organization has reached 183,459 children with direct cash assistance, 83,000 children with health and nutrition support, and 11,357 children with community-based emergency education programs.
The Brighter Days Ahead Foundation was announced with a mission to “support, protect and provide resources for our vulnerable friends in need”. The foundation operates through four distinct funds focused on civil rights and LGBTQ+ advocacy, mental health and community support, storytelling and visibility, and emergency response.
Save the Children is one of several organizations receiving support through Grande’s emergency fund. Other beneficiaries include the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, which Grande has supported since the 2017 Manchester Arena bombing, as well as New York Cares and the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund.
This Gaza initiative follows Grande’s previous fundraising efforts, which helped raise over $801,000 for the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund through social media advocacy.
