The Minnesota Timberwolves star’s finances are no longer a private matter. A new court filing in an ongoing baby mama court battle has revealed that Anthony Edwards earns a staggering 3,364,911 gross monthly income, roughly 40 million per year before taxes and endorsements.
Edwards signed a five-year rookie extension in 2023 worth up to $ 260 million. The 24-year-old Olympic gold medalist’s pay structure shows escalating salaries: 45.5 million for the current season, jumping to 48.9 million next year, and 55.6 million by 2028–29.
The financial disclosure came from court documents in Edwards’ child support case with Alexandria Desroches, who shares a son with the athlete born in October 2023. Desroches earns approximately 1,016 per month. 12,500 monthly in child support.
But Desroches is not the only mother in court. Edwards is also locked in a separate legal battle with Ayesha Howard, mother of his daughter Aubri’. That case has become far more contentious, centering on whether California courts have jurisdiction over the NBA star.
Howard claims Edwards intentionally concealed California-based assets, including a business LLC, trademarks, and a Beverly Hills bank account, to avoid having the case heard in Los Angeles. She recently submitted a sworn declaration from Desroches stating that Edwards’ voluntary child support payments came via wire transfers from that same Beverly Hills account.
Edwards’ legal team has fired back forcefully, calling Howard’s filings “meritless and harassing motions” and describing the legal campaign as “extortionate” in court documents. A Georgia judge has already ruled that the matter belongs in Georgia and ordered Howard to pay Edwards’ legal fees.
The jurisdiction battle continues. Howard is pushing for a California judge to reconsider, armed with what she says is newly discovered evidence of Edwards’ business footprint in the state. Meanwhile, Edwards’ camp is seeking to seal portions of the case and limit what they call an abusive pattern of filings. One thing is certain: the young star’s finances, and family life, will remain in the public eye for the foreseeable future.
