Iwobi wasted no time, capitalizing on a misstep by Brighton’s goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen to slot home Fulham’s opener. Just moments later, the Nigerian midfielder nearly doubled his tally, showcasing relentless attacking prowess as his shot was blocked by Brighton’s Igor Julio.
Brighton fought back valiantly in the second half, with Carlos Baleba equalizing through a stunning strike from outside the box. However, Fulham regained the lead with an own goal in the 79th minute, before Iwobi sealed the deal with a composed finish in the 87th minute, sending the home fans into raptures.
