Hollywood comedian Adam Sandler stole the spotlight at the 97th Academy Awards — not for winning an award, but for his dramatic outburst during host Conan O’Brien’s opening monologue.
The crowd erupted in laughter when Conan jokingly called out Sandler’s laid-back outfit of basketball shorts and a blue hoodie, comparing him to someone playing video poker at 2 a.m.
While the joke had the audience in stitches, the Billy Madison star didn’t find it funny — or at least, he didn’t pretend to.
“Nobody even thought about what I was wearing ’til you brought it up!” Sandler yelled, launching into a full-on man-baby tantrum — a move straight out of his iconic movie characters.
