Cole Palmer’s standout performance played a key role in Chelsea’s thrilling 4-3 victory over Tottenham Hotspur, which lifted the Blues to second place in the Premier League standings. Despite Tottenham initially taking a 2-0 lead with goals from Dominic Solanke and Dejan Kulusevski, Chelsea responded with resilience.
Palmer was instrumental in the comeback, first converting a penalty to equalize at 2-2 after Yves Bissouma fouled Moisés Caicedo. He then scored a Panenka penalty to give Chelsea a 3-2 lead following another foul on Caicedo by Pape Sarr.
The England international’s cool head under pressure and his decisive contributions earned him the official Man of the Match award. Palmer’s performance ensured Chelsea took all three points, keeping them firmly in the title race.
