Burna Boy has made history. The Grammy-winning Nigerian superstar is set to become the first African artist to co-host an in-game radio station in the Grand Theft Auto franchise. He will voice a radio personality named “Burna” on AfroBank FM in Grand Theft Auto VI, alongside German DJ and electronic producer Palms Trax, who goes by “Palmsy” in the game.
The Burna Boy GTA 6 station, AfroBank FM, will showcase a diverse range of African music, from 20th-century classics and undiscovered gems to contemporary sounds like amapiano and 3-step. Rockstar Games describes the station as featuring “the best in African music” curated by “Burna and Palmsy”. A preview of the station includes tracks like “Joha” by Asake, “Gye Wani” by Pat Thomas featuring Ebo Taylor, and “Shay’sana” by DJ Lag & Robot Boii featuring Kamo Mphela.
Burna Boy’s role builds on his previous connection to the franchise. His hit single “Killin Dem” featuring Zlatan appeared on iFruit Radio in Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online. He joins a star-studded lineup of radio hosts for GTA 6, including Bad Bunny, Lana Del Rey, Morgan Wallen, Robyn, and members of Slayer. Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
