Ex-NFL Star Marcellus Wiley Asks Judge to Exclude Sexual Assault Lawsuits From Restraining Order Hearing With Estranged Wife

Former NFL star and media personality Marcellus Wiley is taking preventative legal action in his ongoing split from estranged wife, former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member Annemarie Wiley. Wiley has filed new court documents asking a judge to formally bar Annemarie from using pending civil sexual assault lawsuits against him during their upcoming domestic violence restraining order hearing.

The motion stems from civil lawsuits in New York involving multiple accusers who allege misconduct dating back to the 1990s and early 2000s.

The Core Argument: Wiley’s legal team contends that the New York civil claims involve separate accusers, different allegations, and incidents that have never been proven in court.

Preventing Confusion: Lawyers argue that allowing Annemarie to introduce articles and exhibits regarding these external lawsuits would force the court to conduct a “second trial” within the restraining order hearing, distracting from the central domestic dispute.

Firm Denial: Wiley continues to deny all sexual assault and domestic violence allegations, noting he has never been criminally charged or convicted in connection to the civil suits.

The restraining order hearing follows a turbulent summer. Annemarie filed for divorce shortly after a domestic battery arrest in Florida, which prosecutors subsequently declined to prosecute due to insufficient evidence. Both parties are scheduled to testify regarding custody and restraining order requests as the high-stakes battle continues.
