Morgan Wallen Shuts Down Concert Cancellation Rumors After Pittsburgh Show Axed

The country superstar is not letting the rumors slide. Morgan Wallen has fired back at what he calls “nonsense” speculation following his decision to cancel a Pittsburgh stop on his “Still The Problem Tour.” In an Instagram video, Wallen insisted the move came down to safety concerns tied to severe weather, not lingering fallout from his recent piano-flipping incident in Denver.

Wallen explained that his team had been in contact with local officials monitoring potentially dangerous wind conditions. While Pittsburgh hadn’t yet experienced the strongest gusts at the time of the decision, nearby parts of Pennsylvania were already getting hit hard. Given the massive size of his touring stage setup, the risk was real. Wallen admitted he initially questioned the call but ultimately trusted his team’s recommendation. The second Pittsburgh show was called off, with refunds issued at point of purchase.

The timing of the cancellation fueled online conspiracy theories. Just days earlier, Wallen had flipped a piano on stage in Denver due to technical difficulties. Some critics wondered if the Pittsburgh axing was related to that outburst. Wallen set the record straight. He said he had been seeing inaccurate claims circulating and felt the need to “clear the air.” His message to fans: the weather was the problem, not him.

As conditions reportedly improved later in the evening, backlash grew from ticket holders who questioned the call. Wallen held his ground. He maintained the decision was made using the best information available at the time. The singer ended his video with a pointed reference to his recent song “Lies Lies Lies”, a not-so-subtle jab at everyone spreading false narratives.
