Nikki Bella Returns to the Ring: “I Want to Earn My Spot in This Era”

WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella is officially back — and she’s not just here for a nostalgia pop.

The 41-year-old icon returned to singles action for the first time since 2018 on Monday Night Raw, now airing on Netflix, and picked up a victory over Chelsea Green. But for Nikki, this is more than just a comeback — it’s a mission to prove herself in the current era of women’s wrestling.

“Now Time to Build, Work Even Harder”

After her win, Nikki took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a heartfelt message with her fans, affectionately known as the Bella Army:

“Laid the foundation for myself tonight, now time to build, work even harder, stay fearless and eventually earn my spot in this new era! Won’t be easy, but I’ll never give up!”

The former Divas Champion hit her signature Rack Attack 2.0 for the win, but eagle-eyed fans caught a surprising moment — Nikki initially looked like she was about to attempt the original Rack Attack move, which she retired years ago after suffering serious neck issues.

She responded directly to a fan on X who pointed it out:

“Exactly … muscle memory is insane! I haven’t done that since before neck surgery! Wild!”

She’s promised to break it all down on her weekly Raw Recap podcast, released every Tuesday.

Post-Match Chaos Sets Up Bigger Storyline

Nikki’s return wasn’t all celebration. After the match, she was ambushed by Chelsea Green and her Service Hervice teammates Piper Niven and Alba Fyre. That attack was cut short by a surprise save from Stephanie Vaquer, sparking a possible alliance.

The babyface duo is now one woman short against the heel trio — a detail that hasn’t gone unnoticed by fans who are speculating that Brie Bella could join her twin sister for a full-on Bella Twins reunion.

History-Making Return at Evolution 2

Nikki’s match follows hot on the heels of WWE’s second-ever Evolution event — the all-women’s premium live show — where she was originally slated to face Liv Morgan. That match was canceled due to Liv’s injury, but their feud added layers of personal drama.

During one of the most brutal promos in recent Raw memory, Liv taunted Nikki’s real-life high-profile divorce from Artem Chigvintsev, saying:

“You’re jealous of me because I have everything that you don’t. I have respect, I have a championship, and I have a man!”

The burn added emotional weight to what could be a future showdown once Liv recovers.

Diane Morgan Says New Mandy Series Is 100% Cruelty-Free: “It’s About Time”

British comedy queen Diane Morgan is back with a fresh season of her beloved BBC sitcom Mandy — and this time, she’s making a clear ethical statement.

As the fourth season gears up for its premiere on July 21, Morgan has revealed that the entire production is cruelty-free, including every product used on set. The goal? Shine a spotlight on animal testing in the beauty industry.

“We Warned All the Actors… None Had a Problem”

Speaking to the BBC, the 49-year-old actress and creator explained the decision behind the shift:

“We decided to use only cruelty-free make-up products that haven’t been tested on animals. We warned all the actors what we were doing and none of them had a problem with it.”

Morgan, who plays the hilariously hapless Mandy Carter, said many cast members were shockedto learn how widespread animal testing still is:

“Most of the actors were amazed that some products aren’t cruelty-free. Some well-known brands still test on animals and most people aren’t aware of that.”

She’s even hoping for an official on-screen stamp:

“I think there should be a special logo at the end of the show to prove it.”

A Comedy with a Conscience

Mandy may be known for absurd comedy and bizarre job trials, but it’s also proving to have a surprising ethical impact.

“I’ve heard that at least four [viewers] have turned vegetarian after watching an episode of the last series where Mandy gets a job in an abattoir, so that’s good. Especially for cows.”

While the show’s scenarios often spiral into chaos, Morgan insists they’re rooted in personal truth:

“A lot of them are inspired by things that have happened to me. I’ve had a number of jobs that I’ve been fired from. Some I haven’t even lasted an hour in.”

“Mandy Holding a Job? Never.”

Don’t expect Mandy to finally settle down in a stable role — ever.

“That would ruin the whole premise of the series, if she suddenly could do a job reasonably well. Nothing would happen! It would just be Mandy sat at a desk.”

Mandy has gained a cult following for its dry humour, oddball situations, and Morgan’s deadpan delivery. What began as a modest pilot has turned into one of the BBC’s most delightfully offbeat comedies — with a side of ethical messaging.

Catch the cruelty-free chaos when Mandy Series 4 premieres July 21 on BBC Two and iPlayer.
