Popular Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola is making headlines again – not for a new movie role, but for her refreshingly honest take on love, motherhood, and life after divorce.
In a recent interview, the vibrant Yoruba movie star revealed that she has no interest in getting married again, but wouldn’t mind having more babies with her ex-husband. Yes, you read that right.
Toriola, who publicly shared details about her failed marriage back in 2023, explained that one of the major reasons it didn’t work was due to the constant emotional jabs she received during arguments.
“He always rubbed things in my face during fights,” she said, referencing the emotional toll of their past.
Despite the fallout, Wumi and her ex have found common ground in co-parenting their child. She even shared that her ex recently admitted she might not make the ideal wife for him—but gave her full credit for being an amazing mother.
“He told me I may not be a good wife to him if we come back together, but he also said I’m a good mother to our children,” she said.
Currently, her ex-hubby isn’t remarried, though Wumi isn’t sure if he’s dating someone new. Still, that hasn’t stopped her from boldly declaring her intentions:
“I’m not interested in getting married now, but I want to have more babies with my ex-husband.”
Love is complicated, but for Wumi, motherhood is the priority—and if that means expanding her family without a wedding band, so be it.
