Nintendo is giving gamers a special treat in celebration of Mario Day 2025 by offering a free 14-day trial of its Nintendo Switch Online service — no subscription required.
March 10, known as Mario Day (Mar10), is Nintendo’s annual celebration of the iconic plumber, and this year the gaming giant is letting players experience its online platform for free.

How to Claim the Free Trial
Nintendo announced that anyone without an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription can sign up for the free trial through the official Nintendo website. Once users redeem the offer, they’ll receive a code to activate their free trial directly on their Nintendo Switch console.
✅ The code is available until March 17 at 11:00 PM PT
✅ Players must activate the trial by March 31 at 11:59 PM PT
What You Can Do with the Free Trial
With the free Nintendo Switch Online trial, gamers can:
• Play multiplayer games like Splatoon 3 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe online
• Access a library of classic NES, SNES, and Game Boy games
• Download the Nintendo Music app and listen to soundtracks from classic titles, including The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
• Participate in the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Community Challenge starting on March 7. If the community reaches 1 million laps, everyone will receive 310 Platinum Points
