After months of legal battles, ASAP Rocky has been found not guilty in his assault with a semiautomatic firearm case. However, a juror has revealed that while the jury believed he had a real gun, they didn’t have enough evidence to convict him.
What the Jury Said
Speaking to blogger Nique at Nite, a juror explained that the panel took its time to review the evidence but ultimately couldn’t find Rocky guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
• “We were all thinking that a crime had been committed,” the juror admitted. “But with the instructions we had and the law, we didn’t think there was enough evidence to convict.”
• While Rocky’s defense argued the gun was a prop for security purposes, the juror revealed, “Most of us felt it was a real gun.”
• The lack of physical evidence played a big role: “It was mysterious the way [the gun] disappeared, and they couldn’t produce it in court.”
Rihanna Reacts
Following the verdict, Rihanna took to social media to express her relief, writing:
“THE GLORY BELONGS TO GOD AND GOD ALONE! THANKFUL, HUMBLED, BY HIS MERCY.”
What’s Next for Rocky?
With the trial behind him, ASAP Rocky can now focus on his music, family, and upcoming projects. However, the jury’s belief that a gun was involved could continue to spark debate.
What do you think—was justice served, or was there reasonable doubt?
