Controversial Nigerian singer Portable is once again in the headlines—this time, for all the wrong reasons. The Ogun State Police Command has officially declared the Zazoo Zeh crooner wanted for allegedly leading a violent attack on government officials.
What Happened?
According to police reports, on February 5, 2025, three officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development were inspecting a property in Ota when they encountered an elderly man—later identified as Portable’s father. The officials requested to see the building’s approved plan, but were informed that Portable wasn’t available.
Moments later, the singer reportedly arrived with a group of nine men, allegedly armed with a firearm and other dangerous weapons. The group attacked the unarmed officials, injuring them before they managed to escape and report the incident to the police.
Portable on the Run
While nine of his alleged accomplices have been arrested and charged, Portable has remained in hiding. Despite multiple police invitations, he has refused to appear, prompting the authorities to obtain a valid court order declaring him wanted.
Police Warns Against Aiding the Fugitive
The Ogun State Police Command has urged the public to provide any useful information that could lead to Portable’s immediate arrest. They also warned that anyone found aiding or harboring the singer would face legal consequences.
Legal Trouble Mounts
This latest development follows the arrest and court arraignment of nine of Portable’s associates, who were charged with felony, assault, unlawful detention, and possession of weapons. They were granted ₦5 million bail, with the case adjourned to March 17.
With the police tightening their grip, will Portable finally surrender? Stay tuned for updates!
