Kendrick Lamar is riding high on the Billboard charts following his double victory at the Grammy Awards, where his track “Not Like Us” became only the second hip-hop song to win both Record and Song of the Year—a feat previously achieved by Childish Gambino’s “This Is America.”
Massive Sales Boost for “Not Like Us”
The Grammys proved to be a game-changer for Lamar’s smash hit, as sales skyrocketed by a staggering 375% in just one week. According to Luminate, the song sold 6,100 copies in the latest tracking period, up from just 1,300 copies the previous week.
This surge propelled “Not Like Us” back to No. 1 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales and Rap Digital Song Sales charts. It also re-entered the all-genre Digital Song Sales chart at No. 10, marking the highest comeback of the week.
Competition on the Digital Sales Chart
Despite Lamar’s impressive rebound, the top spot on the Digital Song Sales chart belongs to Morgan Wallen’s “I’m the Problem,” which debuted at No. 1 with 15,000 sales. Lady Gaga also made waves, as her new track “Abracadabra” launched at No. 5 with 9,700 sales.
Lamar’s Album Cuts Also See a Boost
Beyond “Not Like Us,” tracks from Lamar’s latest album GNX are also gaining momentum:
• “Squabble Up” saw a 47% increase in sales.
• “Luther” climbed 27.5%.
• “TV Off” feat. Lefty Gunplay grew by 28%.
Each of these tracks has improved its chart placement as Lamar’s overall streaming and sales numbers continue to rise.
With the Grammys boosting his momentum and fans consuming his music at record-breaking levels, Lamar is proving once again why he remains one of hip-hop’s most influential artists.
