Nigerian singer Bloody Civilian is in hot legal waters after being summoned by a High Court in Calabar over a defamation lawsuit filed by Helen Ukpabio, the founder of Liberty Gospel Church.

The Allegations & The Legal Firestorm

The controversy started in November 2024, when Bloody Civilian made a bold accusation against Ukpabio, stating that she “literally made people burn their children alive.” The statement quickly went viral, sparking outrage and legal backlash.

Ukpabio’s legal team has since labeled the remarks as “reckless, satanic, and libelous”, demanding an immediate retraction along with a public apology in 10 national and international newspapers—all within 72 hours.

But that’s not all—Ukpabio is also demanding a staggering ₦200 billion in damages for “distress, trauma, pain, and reputational harm.”

Bloody Civilian’s Reaction—Unbothered or Unaware?

Rather than panic, Bloody Civilian took to X (formerly Twitter) with a humorous response, writing:

“Guys, just sued me for 200 billion naira. This December, I will add the following to my services: settling family disputes, weddings, comedy…”

What Happens Next?

The singer has 30 days to respond to the summons, and fans are eagerly watching to see if she will fight back or settle.

Could this be the biggest celebrity lawsuit of 2025? Stay tuned for updates!
