Travis Scott Teases New Album: Big Collaborations & Mystery Title in the Works

Now that the UTOPIA era has officially wrapped, Travis Scott is gearing up for his next musical chapter. After a rocky road following the Astroworld tragedy, 2024 has been a year of redemption and celebration for the Houston rapper. From re-releasing his cult-classic Days Before Rodeo to scoring another Billboard Hot 200 No. 1, Scott is proving his staying power.

Travis Scott’s Comeback: From “4X4” to a New Album

Kicking off 2024 with a bang, Travis dropped “4X4” on January 24, after teasing it at WWE Monday Night Raw and the CFB National Championship halftime show. Despite reaching No. 1 on the Hot 100, the track has received mixed reviews, but that hasn’t stopped Scott from pushing forward.

In a recent Billboard interview, the rapper confirmed that a new album is in the works but is keeping the title under wraps for now. “I want to say the title right now, but people aren’t going to understand it. I have some more tweaking to do,” he shared.

Surprising Collab Wishlist: Taylor Swift & Sabrina Carpenter?

While Scott has always been known for blending genres, his latest dream collaborations have raised eyebrows. When asked about artists he’d love to work with, he mentioned:

• Khruangbin, a psychedelic funk band

• Taylor Swift or Sabrina Carpenter for a hook

His reasoning? “Because I have some ill ideas.”

This comes as a surprise, especially after Sabrina Carpenter recently blocked Days Before Rodeo from debuting at No. 1 with her album Short n’ Sweet. But Scott seems unbothered: “Charts, shmarts, man. Who measures that? Her album’s cool. Days Before Rodeo is 10 years old. It all works.”

When Will Travis Scott’s New Album Drop?

As of now, there’s no official release date, but Scott’s cryptic hints suggest that a major project is on the way—potentially packed with unexpected collaborations and a fresh sound.
