British-Nigerian rapper Skepta has taken to social media to jokingly acknowledge that he might be the next target of Portable’s online rants.
The grime legend, whose real name is Joseph Olaitan Adenuga Jr., reacted after Portable dragged Asake and Olamide following Asake’s 2025 Grammy loss. The controversial Nigerian singer had criticized YBNL boss Olamide for supporting Asake instead of him, further fueling drama in the Nigerian music scene.
Skepta’s Reaction
Skepta noticed he was trending on X (formerly Twitter) and quickly figured out why.
• “Why am I trending? Lol.” he asked.
• A follower responded: “I think you know why.”
• Skepta then joked: “I’ve just seen Portable is dragging somebody again, apparently I’m next. We dey wait lol.”
From Praise to Potential Fallout?
This comes just months after Skepta and Portable collaborated on the track “Tony Montana.”Skepta even flew Portable to the UK and treated him like royalty, an experience the “Zazu” crooner excitedly shared online.
Given Portable’s history—having previously called out Davido, Olamide, and Asake—Skepta might just be next in line. But for now, he seems unbothered and ready for the drama.
What do you think? Will Portable really turn on Skepta, or is this just harmless banter?
