The Travis Scott era is back in full swing, and fans are eating it up. His latest single, “4X4”, dropped on January 24, and in just a few days, it has already racked up a massive 31 million streams on Spotify. Produced by Tay Keith and FNZ, the track has quickly become Scott’s second most popular song on the platform.
“4X4” – The Start of a New Chapter?
La Flame first teased the song at his live shows late last year, but the hype truly exploded in January after he previewed it during his guest spot on WWE Monday Night Raw and again at the CFB National Championship halftime show. While there’s no confirmation if this is the lead single for his next album, it’s already become an instant fan favorite.
The “4X4” logo and cover art have also caught fans’ attention. Simple yet bold, it’s quickly becoming a new symbol for Travis Scott’s next wave.
Travis Scott Fan Tags Timothée Chalamet’s Billboard
One particularly loyal (or petty?) Travis Scott fan just made headlines in Los Angeles, where they took it upon themselves to spray-paint “4X4” across a giant billboard of Timothée Chalamet from Dune: Part Two. The graffiti quickly went viral on X (formerly Twitter), with one user approvingly stating:
“It’s better now, ngl.”
Of course, the real drama here is Chalamet’s romance with Kylie Jenner, Scott’s ex and the mother of his daughter, Stormi. Reports claim the Houston rapper wasn’t thrilled about Kylie moving on, even though they remain cordial co-parents.
Did Travis Scott Diss Chalamet on “MELTDOWN”?
Some fans believe Travis already sent shots at Chalamet on “MELTDOWN” featuring Drake. In the track, he raps:
“Chocolate AP and chocolate the Vs, got the Willy Wonka factory (Vs) / Burn an athlete like it’s calories, find another flame hot as me, b***.”*
A reference to Willy Wonka? Sounds suspiciously like a subliminal at Chalamet, who recently played the iconic chocolate factory owner in Wonka.
What’s Next?
With “4X4” dominating the charts and Travis fans taking their loyalty to extreme levels, it’s clear that this new era is just getting started. Will Scott respond to the Chalamet drama directly? Will “4X4” be the lead single for a new album?
Stay tuned—this story is far from over!
