2024 has been a standout year for Irish rocker Hozier, proving he’s more than just a one-hit wonder. His latest success comes from a surprise hit: “Do I Wanna Know? (Live At The BBC),” his cover of the Arctic Monkeys’ hit single.
Originally recorded in 2014 for the BBC’s Live Lounge series, this version has recently gained new popularity, earning impressive chart positions on three Billboard rankings this week.
Despite being a cover, “Do I Wanna Know? (Live At The BBC)” has made a significant impact. It debuted at No. 15 on the Hot Alternative Songs chart, and also landed at No. 17 on the Hot Rock Songs chart and No. 20 on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart.
This success adds to Hozier’s impressive career stats, with 18 placements on the Hot Alternative Songs chart, 38 on the Hot Rock Songs chart, and 47 on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart. Meanwhile, his hit single “Too Sweet” continues to dominate, holding the No. 1 spot on the Hot Rock Songs chart and No. 2 on both the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs and Hot Alternative Songs charts.
Hozier’s ability to breathe new life into a beloved track is a testament to his enduring musical appeal, showing that his rise in 2024 is no fluke.
