Joseph Aloba, the father of the late Nigerian singer Mohbad, has once again raised doubts about the paternity of his late son’s child, Liam, and is insisting on a DNA test to confirm if the boy is truly his grandson.
In a recent interview with Silverbird Television, Aloba questioned the resemblance between Liam and his late son, stating, “No, with what I am seeing, he’s not my grandson.” He added that despite his requests, a DNA test has not been arranged, and he believes that if the test were important to his late son’s wife, Omowunmi, it should have been done by now. “When I demand DNA, they were supposed to say ‘Daddy, go and do it at your convenient time.’”
Aloba, whose son’s sudden death on September 12, 2023, shocked the nation, reiterated that he would only accept Liam as his grandson if the DNA test confirmed the biological relationship. The case has ignited further public interest, with many social media users expressing frustration over the alleged delay in arranging the test.
As the investigation into Mohbad’s untimely death continues, this latest development adds another layer to the mystery surrounding the family’s personal matters. Fans and the public alike await clarity, hoping for resolution not only on the death but also on the paternity question.
