Simon Guobadia, the ex-husband of Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams, has finally spoken out about their messy split — and he’s not holding back.
In a candid interview with Page Six, the Nigerian-American businessman revealed deep regret over the whirlwind marriage, claiming he was blindsided by Williams’s decision to file for divorce just 14 monthsafter they tied the knot.
“I Was Targeted from Day One”
Guobadia didn’t mince words, stating plainly, “I absolutely regret the marriage,” and went as far as alleging that he was “targeted for financial reasons.”
“When I filed for divorce from my previous ex-wife, Porsha was in my DMs praying for me,” he said, referring to his earlier marriage to RHOA alum Falynn Guobadia. “I think I was in a vulnerable position at that time, and I entertained it. So it just kind of snowballed from there.”
Reflecting on their shockingly fast engagement — they got engaged just 30 days after meeting — Guobadia admitted, “I was out of my goddamn mind to have done that. Of course, I’m paying dearly for it.”
“This Was a $5 Million Rehab Project”
Guobadia claims he kept asking Williams why she filed for divorce, only to be met with silence. “She never shared her concerns or issues with me,” he said. In frustration, he reportedly sent her a scathing message:
“This was a $5 million rehab project that I took on.”
He also accused Williams of cutting him off from her family and making moves behind closed doors: “This felt like a coup… I was totally blindsided.”
Williams’s Side: Immigration Issues Sparked Divorce
Williams, on the other hand, told People magazine she discovered “complex” issues with Guobadia’s U.S. immigration status in January 2024, prompting her to hire an immigration attorney. After a tense Valentine’s Day confrontation, she filed for divorce in late February.
Guobadia was deported to Nigeria earlier this month following months in ICE custody, reportedly over immigration violations, including bank and credit card fraud.
Prenup Enforced — But Guobadia Plans to Fight
A judge upheld their prenup agreement, awarding Williams:
• $40,000 monthly alimony
• Up to 36 months of mortgage-free residence
Guobadia says he’ll “1000% appeal” the ruling and is ready to take the matter “all the way to the Supreme Court.”
“I Don’t Have a Relationship With Her Daughter”
On a personal note, Guobadia distanced himself from Williams’s daughter, PJ, whom she shares with ex-fiancé Dennis McKinley. “I don’t have a relationship with her daughter,” he stated, rejecting claims that they were close.
He also slammed Williams for allegedly paying his child support during his ICE detention, calling it a PR move done “not in good faith.”
