Sami Sheen Opens Up About Life-Altering OCD Struggles: “I Literally Starve”

Sami Sheen is getting candid about the harsh reality of living with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) — and she’s not sugarcoating the toll it takes on her daily life.

“I Convince Myself Fresh Food Is Expired”

The 21-year-old model and social media personality revealed in a TikTok video that her OCD has reached the point where she avoids eating food even when it’s just been purchased.

“Even if I buy something from the grocery store that day and I read the expiration date over and over… I’ll convince myself it’s fake. That it actually expired a year ago. And if I eat it, I’ll get violently ill. So I have to throw it away — and starve.”

Sami criticized the way people casually misuse the term “OCD” to describe neatness or organization, saying:

“Nothing aggravates me more than when someone is like, ‘Oh my God, I’m so OCD, I have to keep my room clean.’”

She added a sarcastic caption to the clip: “So fun! #ocd.”

A Shared Experience

In the comments, fans began opening up about their own OCD experiences, and one comment about not eating parts of a sandwich that had been touched by fingers especially resonated with her. Sami replied:

“Oh same, I thought everyone did that.”

Family Tensions Behind the Scenes

Sami — daughter of Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards — has also been navigating family drama, particularly with her sister, Lola Sheen. Earlier this month, she claimed her 20-year-old sibling blocked her number over disagreements tied to her vocal support for LGBTQ+ rights.

“My mom raised me and my sister to be very accepting of everyone’s sexuality and gender identity… That’s why it’s so sad for me to see my sister is now homophobic and transphobic.”

Despite the current fallout, Sami expressed hope:

“I really hope she snaps out of this eventually.”

An Honest Voice on Mental Health

Sami, who also runs an OnlyFans account, continues to use her platform to shed light on real mental health struggles and challenge harmful stereotypes, especially around conditions like OCD that are often misunderstood.

Her message? OCD isn’t about being tidy — it’s about fighting a mental battle that can affect your ability to eat, trust, and even function.
