I’m Former Coronation Street star Ryan Thomas may be returning to screens — but this time, it’s not for a soap role. Alongside his brothers Adam and Scott Thomas, Ryan is in talks for a new family reality TV show, aiming to bring their online chemistry to a bigger platform.
The Thomas trio have become social media sensations, especially on TikTok, where they’ve racked up nearly 15 million likes with their playful banter and relatable family content. Now, they’re looking to turn that buzz into a full-fledged television show.
“That’s what everyone’s screaming out for,” Ryan told Fabulous magazine. “Everything I see on socials is like, ‘Give these guys a reality TV show.’ And now, there are conversations being had with TV production companies.”
From Soap Star to TikTok Dad
Ryan, 41, is no stranger to British TV fame. He rose to stardom as Jason Grimshaw on Coronation Street and recently made a brief return for Sue Cleaver’s (Eileen Grimshaw) farewell episode. But while that reunion was “magical,” Ryan says his priorities have shifted.
“I’m in my own world. I’ve got my own family now,” he shared. “Whatever happens, happens.”
Ryan shares three children: Scarlett (16) with ex Tina O’Brien, and Roman (5) and Lilah (3) with fiancée Lucy Mecklenburgh. He made headlines in 2021 when he announced he was stepping away from acting, citing online trolling and rejection fatigue.
But despite leaving acting behind, Ryan’s media presence has only grown — now as a TikTok star, game show presenter, and potential reality TV personality.
“I don’t even know how to present,” he joked. “But we’re giving it a go!”
No More Kids, Please!
Though things are buzzing on the career front, Ryan is drawing the line when it comes to expanding his family.
“Never, never, ever, ever, ever, ever!” he laughed when asked about having more kids. “I’ve got three beautiful children. I don’t need any more, thank you very much!”
