Popular Nigerian singer and former BBNaija winner, Laycon, has publicly confronted DJ Neptune over unpaid royalties for their hit collaboration, “Nobody (Icons Remix).”
In a viral post on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, Laycon expressed frustration that DJ Neptune has yet to fulfill the agreed-upon payments for the song, which was released four years ago. The reality star emphasized the importance of honoring contracts in the music industry, saying, “DJ Neptune, what’s up with my agreement and split for the ‘Nobody (Icons Remix)’ song? It’s been 4 years—still nothing?”
The remix, which also featured Joeboy, was a fan favorite dedicated to Laycon’s supporters, known as Icons, in October 2020. Despite the track’s success, DJ Neptune has remained silent on the issue, leaving Laycon waiting for his rightful share.
As of now, DJ Neptune has not responded to Laycon’s allegations, but the call-out has sparked a conversation about transparency and fairness in the music industry.
