Lady Gaga and Doechii have released the music video for “Runway,” serving sass and high fashion in the Parris Goebel-directed clip. The Devil Wears Prada 2 song appears during a behind-the-scenes moment at Milan Fashion Week as models prepare for the runway.
The video delivers exactly what the title promises. Each artist cycles through multiple looks in an explosion of outfits and backup dancers, culminating in both strutting down the runway together. The track first premiered in the film’s final trailer on April 7, with the full single arriving on April 10.
Andrew Watt co-produced “Runway” alongside Bruno Mars, Cirkut, and Dernst “D’Mile” Emile II. The song’s chorus declares, “Monday through Sunday, can turn the dancefloor into a runway,” with Doechii opening the track: “Serve a little sass, with a little side of ass, do a little twirl”.
Their mutual admiration runs deep. At the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards, Doechii presented Gaga with the Innovator Award, calling herself “a community of alternative kids that were underrepresented”. Gaga returned the praise in British Vogue: “You don’t often see someone come out of the gate with a pen that feels immediately legendary. That’s Doechii to me”.
The single debuted at number 32 on the Global Spotify chart with nearly 3 million unfiltered streams, and number 25 in the US with over 727,000 streams . Gaga makes a cameo appearance in The Devil Wears Prada 2, which hits theaters May 1. The film sees Meryl Streep’s Miranda Priestly battling print journalism’s decline while facing off against Emily Blunt’s character, now a Christian Dior executive with advertising money Priestly desperately needs.
