The Real Housewives of Atlanta drama is far from over, and Kenya Moore is stirring the pot with fresh revelations about the fractured friendship between Shamea Morton and Porsha Williams.
In a candid video posted on her YouTube channel, Kenya weighed in on the fallout between the two besties, claiming she’s always known Porsha wasn’t fully supportive of Shamea becoming a full-time Housewife.
“A lot of you guys may not know, I’ve actually had a conversation with Shamea a long time ago when Porsha and I were not cool. Everything I know about their friendship… I never felt that Porsha was supportive of her being on Housewives,” Kenya said.
According to Kenya, Shamea was approached by Bravo years ago to join the franchise as a main cast member, but she either declined or couldn’t move forward with it — details Kenya admitted were fuzzy. However, she clearly remembers a filmed conversation where Shamea allegedly brought up her wedding or another personal milestone, only for Porsha to clap back dismissively.
“I remember Porsha saying something to the effect of, ‘Why are you doing this? Why are you over here? Do you need the money that bad?’”
The tension between Shamea and Porsha resurfaced this season after Shamea revealed that Porsha treats her differently on-camera and off. Porsha reportedly told her she’d only behave more warmly toward her on camera if Bravo paid her more, which left Shamea feeling hurt and blindsided.
Kenya didn’t hold back as she questioned the authenticity of the pair’s longtime bond:
“Is that a friendship or a relationship of convenience? What I see is jealousy. What I see is somebody putting their foot on somebody’s neck and saying, ‘You stay down there. I want to be the queen of this.’”
The video has since gone viral, sparking fresh debates among fans who’ve watched Shamea support Porsha loyally for years — often in the background.
As for Kenya, she’s clearly not buying the sisterhood narrative Porsha and Shamea once projected. Whether this will lead to a deeper on-screen rift in future seasons remains to be seen, but one thing’s for sure — Kenya Moore is keeping the shade alive and very well.
