Kanye West is officially returning to the Los Angeles stage for the first time in five years. The rapper, now known legally as Ye, announced a one-night-only performance at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood on Friday, April 3, 2026. The show is being billed as his “only performance in Los Angeles” and marks his first major US concert since 2021.

The SoFi Stadium concert arrives at a pivotal moment in West’s career. It follows years of controversy, professional fallout, and limited live appearances. His last Los Angeles performance came alongside Drake at the Free Larry Hoover benefit concert in December 2021. While he appeared at Rolling Loud California in 2024 with Ty Dolla $ign, that event was widely described as more of a listening party for their collaborative album Vultures 1 than a traditional live performance.

The April 3 show comes just days after the scheduled release of West’s 12th studio album, Bully, which is now set to drop on March 20 after multiple delays. Fans attending can expect a mix of new material from the album alongside his catalog of hits.

Tickets for the SoFi Stadium show go on sale to the general public Wednesday, March 11, at 10 a.m. PT via Ticketmaster. An artist presale begins Tuesday, March 10, at 10 a.m. PT and runs until Wednesday morning.

Current ticket prices start at approximately $305, according to ticket retailers. However, West’s team has created a unique opportunity for dedicated fans. Those who pre-register on the official website Yelosangeles.com and pre-save Bully on streaming platforms will be entered for a chance to receive free tickets. “A few lucky pre-registrants will be selected to receive free tickets,” the site states.

The concert announcement follows West’s public apology campaign. In January 2026, he took out a full-page advertisement in The Wall Street Journal addressing the Jewish community and others he hurt with years of antisemitic rhetoric.

“It does not excuse what I did though. I am not a Nazi or an antisemite. I love Jewish people,” he wrote in the letter, attributing his past behavior to untreated brain damage and mental illness. He also apologized to the Black community, writing, “I am so sorry to have let you down.

West revealed he sought professional help in 2025 after experiencing a “four-month manic episode of psychotic, paranoid, and impulsive behavior”. He cited a car accident over 20 years ago as the source of a brain injury that contributed to his bipolar diagnosis.

While fans celebrate his return, the announcement has drawn criticism. The mayor of Marseille, France, where West will perform June 11, publicly stated the rapper is “not welcome” in the city. In the Netherlands, the leading anti-Semitism charity CIDI expressed being “deeply worried” about his upcoming Amsterdam-area show, noting that his “recent expressions of regret do not change the nature or the gravity of what he has done”.

Despite the backlash, West has expanded his 2026 tour schedule significantly. Following the LA show, he’ll perform in Istanbul (May 30), the Netherlands (June 6 and 8), Marseille (June 11), Italy (July 18), and Spain (July 30). The European dates mark his first headline performances on the continent in 12 years

West’s history of unpredictable performances leaves fans unsure what the night will bring. Will he deliver a full concert or another experimental presentation? The SoFi Stadium show represents one of the biggest tests of his cultural pull since the controversies began. For a man who once canceled his Saint Pablo tour mid-run in 2016, simply taking the stage will be a statement.
