Diddy’s Legal Team Demands Accuser Identities in Federal Sex Trafficking Case

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ legal team is urging a New York judge to disclose the identities of more than 100 individuals accusing the music mogul of sex trafficking, as his trial looms. Combs, who was arrested in September and remains in custody without bail, is facing multiple allegations of sexual abuse, blackmail, and violence, with the trial set for May 5, 2025.

Why is Diddy Demanding Accuser Names?

Combs’ defense team argues that knowing the identities of his accusers is essential for them to build a strong case. With so many accusations—six new lawsuits filed anonymously just this week—his lawyers insist that revealing the names will enable them to investigate each claim and ensure a fair trial.

The prosecution, however, has yet to comment on the motion.

What’s Behind the Lawsuits?

The lawsuits allege that Combs lured both men and women into exploitative situations under the pretense of offering career opportunities. The accusers claim to have suffered years of abuse and manipulation. Six new anonymous lawsuits were recently added to the pile, bringing the total number of accusers over 100, with individuals identified only as Jane and John Does to protect their privacy.

Diddy’s Legal Team Hits Back

In their defense, Combs’ lawyers argue that the sheer number of accusations and the intense media attention surrounding the case could hinder his right to a fair trial. They expressed concerns about the “media circus” generated by previous high-profile settlements, including one with ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, which may have led to a flood of new allegations.

They further insist that many of the claims are “false” or “absurd,” and the government has yet to specify which accusations will be pursued in court.

With the trial date approaching, the legal battle between Combs’ defense team and the growing number of accusers is expected to intensify, as both sides prepare for what is sure to be a high-stakes courtroom showdown.
