Diana Ross canceled her scheduled appearance as godmother of Royal Caribbean’s Star of the Seas due to “unforeseen circumstances.”
The 81-year-old legendary singer withdrew just days before the naming ceremony for the Icon-class ship. Ross was initially announced as godmother for the vessel slated to set sail on August 20, 2025.
Royal Caribbean will announce a new godmother soon. The cancellation comes days before Ross embarks on a U.S. tour. No specific details about the circumstances were provided.
