Cardi B is ready to reclaim her throne, and this time, she’s bringing all the drama. In a brand new interview with Billboard at the Revolve Festival, the Bronx-born superstar finally spilled a little more tea on her long-awaited sophomore album — and she’s promising it’ll be bold, raw, and unapologetically messy.
“I almost want to say the name because that’s what it’ll be about,” Cardi teased. “I feel like my album is messy. She’s a messy queen.”
A New Sound — and Some Familiar Fire
While fans have spent years speculating about her next full-length release, Cardi made it clear that what’s coming won’t be exactly what people expect.
“It’s unexpected,” she explained. “There’s gonna be things people expect from me and a lot of things people don’t expect from me.”
From heartbreak anthems to battle-ready bangers, Cardi says the album reflects her emotional highs and lows.
“I’ve been heartbroken and then I’m loving again,” she revealed. “There’ll be some music to fight to, too.”

Cardi’s latest album update comes after she shut down fan expectations in 2023 by saying she wouldn’t release anything in 2024. Cardi, clearly fed up, clapped back online and wrote:
“Anyway NO album this year. I don’t care. I’m relaxing this year … Dropping these features I already committed to and traveling and enjoying my summer.”
