An Iowa toddler who made history as the world’s most premature surviving baby has reached another extraordinary milestone. Nash Keen, who was born at just 21 weeks gestation and weighed less than 1 lb (10 ounces), has officially celebrated his second birthday.
Officially recognized by Guinness World Records, Nash continues to defy medical odds and thrive alongside his parents, Mollie and Randall Keen.

Defying the Odds: Born 133 days ahead of his expected due date at University of Iowa Health Care, Nash weighed only 283 grams at birth roughly the size of a grapefruit.
Hitting New Milestones: After spending six months in the NICU, Nash spent his second year learning to sit up unaided, crawl, and expand his vocabulary by copying animal sounds.
Growing Strength: His mother shared that Nash continues to show incredible determination, noting that he is growing at a rate comparable to full-term children.
