Tyler Boebert, the 21-year-old son of Colorado U.S. Representative Lauren Boebert, was arrested on August 9 following serious felony allegations. A criminal affidavit revealed that police took Boebert into custody on multiple charges, including child sexual exploitation to induce or entice, possession with intent, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
According to court documents, the arrest stems from a 43-second video that Boebert filmed with his then-17-year-old girlfriend in April 2024. The ex-girlfriend reportedly contacted law enforcement after the clip was forwarded to her ex. She showed the recording directly to officers, establishing probable cause for his arrest. The emergence of the Tyler Boebert arrest child sexual exploitation ex video case has reignited intense national media attention surrounding the congresswoman’s family.
“I love my son. We take these allegations very seriously and pray for everyone affected during this challenging time.” — Rep. Lauren Boebert
Tyler Boebert was released from custody after posting a $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court for a formal hearing later this month.
