Nearly a decade after the release of her critically acclaimed album ANTI, Rihanna is giving fans a playful glimpse into just how much unreleased music she has sitting in her catalog.
During a recent Fenty Beauty TikTok Shop livestream, the multi-hyphenate mogul was asked how much unreleased music she currently has tucked away. True to form, Rihanna used a clever comparison to her cosmetics line to put her massive archive into perspective.
Pointing to the brand’s popular product collection, Rihanna offered a telling teaser:
“If there are 10 products in the Gloss Bomb Vault, then I have at least 17 vaults.”
While she didn’t explicitly confirm an exact tally or state how many tracks are fully completed, the math 10 items multiplied by 17 vaults points to a staggering 170 unreleased songs.
The playful revelation has sent fans into a frenzy, especially as anticipation for her ninth studio album, R9, reaches an all-time high. Excitement has steadily mounted over recent months after Rihanna shared that she had “cracked the code” on the project’s creative direction, followed by partner A$AP Rocky confirming that she is back in the recording studio.
Whether these tracks will eventually see the light of day remains unconfirmed, but the music icon’s latest comments prove that the vault is more than ready whenever she decides to drop her next era.
