Porsha Williams Responds to K. Michelle’s Tweet on RHOA Team Alliances

The truce between the titans of The Real Housewives of Atlanta was remarkably short-lived. Following a string of candid social media updates from franchise newcomer K. Michelle regarding her ongoing friction with Porsha Williams, the Guobadia-divorcing veteran has officially fired back, telling the R&B singer that she needs to focus on her own integration into the group rather than rewriting history online.

The Porsha Williams responds K Michelle tweet 2026 standoff marks the latest chapter in a highly volatile Season 17 dynamic that has completely captivated reality television audiences over the past month.

The online exchange follows a busy week for K. Michelle. On Tuesday, May 12, 2026, the “V.S.O.P.” singer took to X (formerly Twitter) to engage with fans about the show’s complex internal politics. While responding to a fan who called Porsha “misunderstood,” K. Michelle admitted that despite her co-star supporting her latest musical releases, their relationship remains in a fractured place.

“We have to sit down on our own terms,” K. Michelle tweeted. “She thinks I picked a team when I’m not a team. I do love her, we just aren’t in a great place. I want to fix it eventually.”

The singer followed the note with a separate post declaring, “I don’t give a sh*t about anybody giving me hell. I’m a real housewife… I hand out all hell but only when it’s necessary.”

The “team” comment stems from a recent, highly publicized interview Porsha did with executive producer Carlos King, where she accused K. Michelle of doing “too much for the cameras” and strategically aligning herself with the “wrong team” in the cast to protect her spot on the show. The comment heavily irritated K. Michelle, coming just weeks after the two sat down for a highly emotional private lunch to resolve a painful misunderstanding regarding K. Michelle’s past illegal butt-shot removal surgery complications, which Porsha had accidentally confused on camera for a miscarriage.

Porsha didn’t take the Twitter reflection lying down. Speaking to producers on a late-night social media broadcast, the mother-of-one clarified her position on K. Michelle’s behavior, making it clear she feels the singer is backsliding on the progress they made during filming.

“I’m glad she said she wants to fix it eventually, but let’s be entirely real about what’s happening here,” Porsha stated. “Nobody is forcing anybody into a corner. When you enter a house that has decades of history, and your first instinct is to play chess instead of just being yourself, people notice. I don’t hate K. She knows I don’t hate her. But don’t go on the internet playing the victim about ‘teams’ when you’ve spent the last three weeks calling me a bimbo on your timeline. The only team I’m on is team reality.”

The ongoing feud has forced the rest of the Atlanta cast to walk a careful line, especially given K. Michelle’s tight bond with legacy star Phaedra Parks. While castmates like Shamea Morton and Cynthia Bailey have attempted to keep the peace during recent group trips to Dallas, the underlying tension between the show’s alpha personalities is threatening to completely overshadow the back-half of the season. With the highly anticipated Season 17 reunion specials scheduled to tape next month, fans are already buckling up for a massive face-to-face showdown that will likely determine whether these two peach holders can ever truly find common ground.
