The digital sisterhood of MomTok has officially shattered. In the wake of intense filming shakeups and toxic personal disputes, the cast of Hulu’s hit reality series The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has collectively distanced themselves from the show’s original pioneer, Taylor Frankie Paul.
What began as behind-the-scenes tension has exploded into a full-blown public war. Multiple cast members have hit the unfollow button on Paul after she repeatedly clashed with her former friends, leading many to declare that friendship ties within the group are officially severed.
The latest round of drama kicked off when Whitney Leavitt posted a TikTok with co-stars Jen Affleck, Jessi Draper, Layla Taylor, Mayci Neeley, Mikayla Matthews, and Miranda Hope as they reunited to finish filming Season 5. Paul was noticeably absent from the gathering following a chaotic year of legal disputes and domestic investigations with her ex, Dakota Mortensen.
Tensions boiled over when Leavitt jokingly claimed the title of “creator” of MomTok. Paul immediately retaliated by posting screenshots of major Hollywood opportunities she had allegedly turned down—including Dancing with the Stars, which Leavitt had competed on.
The brag backfired. Mikayla Matthews quickly took to Instagram Stories to publicly slam Paul, accusing her of “weaponizing and manipulating” her massive following to “intimidate the people around” her.
As the mass unfollows poured in, Paul posted a lengthy, emotional statement on Instagram addressing the mess. While she admitted her own ego played a massive part in her aggressive responses, she expressed deep heartbreak over how quickly her co-stars turned their backs on her.
“I never felt so betrayed and abandoned by so many people I would have stood by no matter how exhausted,” Paul wrote.
The sentiment didn’t stop the bleeding. Whitney Leavitt officially unfollowed Paul shortly after, prompting Paul to comment “Good” and drag Leavitt’s controversial past social media posts into the light. “Let’s be honest, she’s been waiting for my downfall since day one,” Paul fired back.
With the cast united against her, the future of MomTok’s original star on the series remains highly uncertain.
