A federal court has officially tossed out the privacy lawsuit brought by former NFL offensive tackle Matt Kalil against his ex-wife, model and influencer Haley Kalil.
The legal battle stemmed from a November 2025 appearance on a Twitch livestream, where Haley discussed details of their nearly seven-year marriage and subsequent divorce.
The Statement That Sparked It All: During the broadcast, Haley described physical incompatibilities and famously compared her ex-husband’s anatomy to “two Coke cans stacked on top of each other, maybe even a third”.
The Legal Fallout: Matt Kalil filed a lawsuit in January, claiming invasion of privacy, emotional distress, and damage to his reputation after attempting to live a private life post-retirement.
A federal judge ultimately dismissed the case with prejudice, ruling that Haley’s remarks—while crude constituted a discussion of her own life, health, and trauma, marking it as a “matter of legitimate public concern” given their public profiles. While Haley celebrated the decision as a victory for women sharing their personal stories, legal representation for Matt Kalil indicated plans to appeal.
