The “People’s Princess” is officially taking her battle from the golden arches to the courtroom. Following a viral physical altercation at a Hollywood McDonald’s on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, Ice Spice’s legal team has confirmed they are moving forward with a full legal offensive.

Security footage obtained by TMZ shows Ice Spice (Isis Gaston) sitting in a booth with a friend during the early morning hours when a woman, later identified as Vayah, approached the table uninvited. After a brief exchange where the rapper appeared to decline a fan interaction, Vayah slapped Ice Spice directly in the face.

In a statement released on April 17, Ice Spice’s high-profile attorney Bradford Cohen made it clear that the rapper will not be letting the incident slide. This Ice Spice McDonald’s attack pressing charges move includes:

• Criminal Charges: An official report has been filed with the LAPD for assault.

• Civil Litigation: The team is pursuing damages against the individuals involved.

• Premises Liability: Cohen is also exploring legal action against McDonald’s for a “lack of appropriate security” during the late-night hours.

“She Was Rude”: The Assailant’s Side

Vayah, the woman who struck the rapper, spoke to TMZ to provide her version of the events. She claims she was a fan trying to “show love,” but that Ice Spice was “disrespectful and rude.” According to Vayah, the slap was a reaction to the rapper allegedly calling her a “b**ch.”

Surveillance footage shows that after the initial slap, the situation devolved into a “wild brawl.” Ice Spice was seen leaping over tables to pursue Vayah outside, where a second scuffle occurred in the middle of the street. In the heat of the moment, Ice Spice reportedly smashed a phone belonging to an associate of the attacker.

Videos of the fight including a clip of Ice Spice jumping over a counter and tables have dominated social media feeds for the past 48 hours. While some critics questioned the rapper’s decision to engage, the majority of the “Munchkins” (her fanbase) have rallied behind her, arguing that she had a right to defend herself against an unprovoked physical strike.

Despite the drama, Ice Spice is maintaining her busy schedule. She is currently preparing for the European leg of her Y2K! World Tour and is set to headline several major festivals this summer. As the LAPD continues its investigation, fans are waiting to see if the Hollywood District Attorney will move forward with formal battery charges against Vayah.
