Rising country music star Ella Langley abruptly canceled her highly anticipated, sold-out concert at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, just hours before she was scheduled to take the stage. The decision to pull the plug on the event came after local authorities received a alarming call threatening the lives of concertgoers, prompting immediate safety evaluations by law enforcement and event organizers.
Taking to social media to directly address her disappointed fanbase, Langley shared a joint statement alongside venue management explaining that the cancellation was made under the direct advisement of local authorities, venue officials, and her private security team.
“I know how much time, travel, money, and planning goes into coming to a show, and I can’t tell you how sorry I am,” Langley wrote in a personal statement. “This is not a decision that was made lightly. I was so looking forward to spending tonight with you, but your safety will always mean more to me than anything else. I refuse to put anyone in harm’s way.”
Following the cancellation, the Tulsa Police Department issued a statement clarifying that while a threat had been phoned in, officers ultimately determined there was no active, credible danger remaining at the venue. However, out of an abundance of caution, Langley’s management and venue administrators opted not to move forward with the performance.
The BOK Center echoed Langley’s sentiments, emphasizing that the well-being of attendees, touring crew members, and arena staff remains their absolute highest priority. Venue management confirmed that detailed information regarding full ticket refunds will be communicated directly to ticketholders as soon as administrative details are finalized. Despite the setback, Langley’s “Dandelion” tour is scheduled to resume as planned for her next scheduled stop.
