Following his fan-favorite reprisal in Spider-Man: No Way Home, actor Andrew Garfield has opened up about what it would take for him to put on the suit for a third standalone installment of The Amazing Spider-Man.
Speaking during a recent interview, the actor admitted that while he loves the character, returning to Peter Parker’s web-slinging world would require stepping entirely out of the traditional superhero mold.
Rather than another standard blockbuster fight against a city-destroying villain, Garfield expressed a desire for a much weirder, ground-level narrative shift.
“I would want it to be just completely unexpected, like a genre of Spider-Man that you’ve never seen before… Maybe like a road trip movie.”
