The Kid Laroi has revealed his initial fear of returning to Melbourne for his latest concert at Rod Laver Arena, following a canceled performance in the city two years ago.
The 21-year-old rapper, known for his global hit Stay, admitted on stage Saturday night that the 2022 incident left him feeling apprehensive about how fans would react.
“Coming back to Melbourne and doing two nights, I was a little bit scared,” he told the audience. “I didn’t know if people were going to trust me anymore. But obviously, that wasn’t true. I have the greatest supporters of all time.”
In June 2022, Laroi abruptly canceled a show just 35 minutes after his scheduled appearance, describing it as a “really embarrassing” moment in his career. However, his Melbourne fans proved their loyalty by filling the arena for two consecutive nights, demonstrating their continued support.
