I’m Music icon Elton John, 77, has revealed a significant health challenge that has impacted his ability to work. In a candid interview with ABC News, the legendary Tiny Dancer singer shared that he lost vision in his right eye this past summer due to an infection while in France. This has left him unable to see, read, or watch anything, casting doubt on his ability to return to recording music.
“It’s been four months now, and I can’t see a lyric, I can’t watch anything,” Elton admitted. While expressing hope for recovery, he acknowledged the limitations his current condition has imposed on his career, saying, “I’m kind of stuck at the moment.”
Despite this setback, Elton remains optimistic, focusing on his health and taking steps to improve his vision. He expressed gratitude for his life and achievements, including his family and his recently completed documentary, Never Too Late.
This is not the first health issue the music legend has faced. Elton underwent double knee replacement surgery and had his right hip replaced after a fall, which caused delays in his farewell tour in 2021. Despite these challenges, he continues to maintain a positive outlook, calling himself “the luckiest man in the world.”
Fans around the globe are sending well wishes to the beloved performer as he navigates this challenging time.
