Nigerian singer Crown Uzama, famously known as Shallipopi, has clarified that he doesn’t smoke, despite often being seen with cigarettes in his photos and videos.
The ‘Oba Pluto’ hitmaker revealed in a recent interview with Soundcity that the cigarette props are purely for visual appeal. “One thing that my fans don’t know about me is that I don’t smoke. It’s just aesthetics,” he said.
When asked about his inspiration for music, Shallipopi credited it to the struggles of life. “What influences me to do music is hardship. You don’t want to go through hardship in this country,” he explained.
The singer’s candidness offers fans a glimpse into his creative process and personal choices, emphasizing his focus on art and storytelling.
