Al-Hilal star Neymar has fired back at Manchester City midfielder Rodri, calling him a “talker” after the Spaniard offered advice to Vinicius Junior on improving his game.
Rodri, the 2024 Ballon d’Or winner, recently remarked that Vinicius should “pay attention” on the pitch to become a better footballer, noting that the young Brazilian will mature and benefit from Real Madrid’s values.
Rodri stated earlier this week:
Vinicius is an intelligent guy and he will realise over time that the more he pays attention to the pitch, the better he will be. He’s young, and I’m sure people will give him good advice, especially at Madrid.
Neymar, however, wasn’t pleased with what he perceived as unsolicited advice. Taking to Instagram on Friday, the Brazilian forward wrote:
He [Rodri] became a talker now.
The exchange has sparked discussions among fans, with many debating whether Rodri’s comments were constructive or condescending.
While Rodri is sidelined with a season-ending knee injury, Vinicius Junior is gearing up to lead Real Madrid against Leganes in LaLiga on Sunday, hoping to silence critics with his performance on the pitch.
