Cardi B has once again tested the patience of her loyal #BardiGang by announcing her long-awaited sophomore album won’t arrive until 2025. The Grammy-winning rapper, who’s spent the year teasing fans with glimpses of her progress, shared the news during a candid Instagram Live session on November 17.
I’ve been feeling so emotional lately because I know next year is going to be my f-cking year
Cardi confessed. Reflecting on 2024, she described it as “the weirdest year ever,” mentioning personal highs and lows, including falling in and out of love and getting divorced.
Despite recording nearly 50 songs and completing artwork for the album—rumored to be titled Defamation of Character or Intrusive Thoughts—she’s holding back on giving an exact release date. But she promised that 2025 will be packed with surprises, including new music, secret business ventures, and maybe even a new boyfriend. “I’m hoe-less right now. I gotta get my sh-t together,” she joked.
Fans have been eagerly waiting for a follow-up to Cardi’s history-making 2018 debut, Invasion of Privacy, which solidified her as a global superstar. While this latest delay might sting, Bardi promises the wait will be worth it.
2025 is shaping up to be the year Cardi takes the spotlight back—bigger and bolder than ever.
