Nigerian actress and comedian Wofai Fada has officially married her partner, Taiwo Cole, celebrating their civil ceremony at the Ikoyi Registry. Announcing the marriage on Instagram, Wofai shared heartfelt photos, captioning them, “Every love story is beautiful, but ours is my favorite. Legally hitched. @taiwo.cole.7 #TWOforever. #MrsCole. #2 of 3, and forever to go.”

This legal union comes after months of public controversy. Following their traditional wedding in Calabar, Cross River, in May, Taiwo’s family issued a statement distancing themselves from the marriage, saying they were neither aware of nor supported the union. The family’s statement read, “This serves to notify all acquaintances, family, and friends that the Cole family of Victoria Island, Lagos, are not aware of any marriage ceremony involving our son, Taiwo Olakitan Cole; nor did we grant permission or support in this regard. Any publications and documents about this should be disregarded.”
Despite the family’s stance, Wofai took to Instagram with a video captioned “Let love lead” to affirm her love amidst the controversy. In a heartwarming show of support, Taiwo’s twin sister, Kehinde Cole, publicly congratulated the newlyweds, posting, “Congratulations to my twin brother and my new sister in love – your union is blessed with love.”
This remarkable story of resilience and love continues to capture public attention as Wofai and Taiwo embrace their future together.
