Demi Lovato’s ex, Max Ehrich, is getting familiar with Florida law enforcement. Just weeks after being arrested for nitrous oxide possession, the singer and actor was cited for driving the wrong way down a divided highway. According to police, Ehrich was cited just after 9 a.m. on September 30 after officers claimed he was driving his 2020 white BMW the wrong way down a divided highway in Port St. Lucie.
The Max Ehrich cited incident came about a month after he was arrested for possession of nitrous oxide on August 25 in Florida. He was also previously arrested for domestic violence in October 2025, also in Florida. Following that arrest, Ehrich claimed he was going to rehab.
Ehrich and Lovato were together for only a few months before getting engaged in 2020. The engagement lasted just two months, and the pair broke up in September 2020. Ehrich has not publicly commented on the recent citation, and representatives for him have not responded to requests for comment. The citation is a traffic violation and does not carry jail time.
