Keshia Chanté is shutting down rumors that Drake is the father of her unborn child. A rep for the Canadian singer and television host said that her son’s father is a “public figure in music,” hours after Drake’s representatives called the speculation “inaccurate” and completely false.
The Keshia Chanté Drake rumors began Tuesday after Chanté posted photos from a maternity shoot without naming the father. Because she and Drake have known each other for years, fans began connecting dots that weren’t there. Her rep said Chanté is “protective of her family, which is why she has kept her pregnancy under wraps for almost 8 months.” The rep did not name the baby’s father, leaving the identity a mystery.
Drake’s team at The Agency Group denied the rumors outright. Drake has one son, Adonis, 8, whom he shares with French artist Sophie Brussaux. Chanté is a Juno Award-winning singer and former host of 106 & Park. She has not commented publicly beyond her rep’s statement. The pregnancy is her first.
