Grown Ups 3 is officially happening. Chris Rock revealed on The Tonight Show that the film will release in Summer 2027 on Netflix, with all the original cast members reprising their roles for what he called the final film in the franchise.
The Grown Ups 3 announcement confirms a long-rumored project. Kyle Newacheck, who directed Happy Gilmore 2, will direct, while Adam Sandler is writing the script. The original Grown Ups debuted in 2010 and starred Sandler, Rock, Kevin James, David Spade, and Rob Schneider as childhood friends who reunite years later. It became a surprise hit, grossing over $270 million worldwide, and spawned a sequel in 2013 that also performed well at the box office.
The franchise has remained a fan favorite despite mixed critical reception, and the cast has spoken over the years about their chemistry on and off screen. Sandler’s deal with Netflix has produced several hits for the streamer, including Murder Mystery, Hubie Halloween, and You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah. Details about the plot have not been revealed. The film is expected to begin production ahead of its Summer 2027 release.
